Educator Support
The Principal in Residence (PiR) program prepares new and experienced school leaders to launch and lead Phalen Leadership Academies (PLA) across the nation. The program is designed to provide a pipeline of highly qualified candidates who are knowledgeable, trained, equipped and ready to implement the PLA model and lead PLA’s schools to success. PiRs will spend 6 - 18 months in residency with a high performing mentor principal learning how to launch and lead a new or existing PLA school.
The Sean Cowdrey Complex
The Cowdrey Complex is designed to serve our scholars, their families, and the neighboring community. It will support positive youth and family development by providing multi-generational access and will become a safe, inclusive place for our community. Thanks to the generosity of the Glick Family Foundation, this project will be transformative for the Far Eastside community. With a focus on character building, leadership, mental health, physical wellbeing, and workforce development, the 18,000sq. 'Falcons' Nest' gymnasium and state-of-the-art outdoor field and track will provide a safe and nurturing environment for the entire community.

Annual Fund
The Annual Fund supports our scholars and all of our tuition-free network school communities. PLA relies on contributions to help ensure that the quality of the program remains strong. The Annual Fund directly impacts both students and faculty. These tax-deductible gifts support teacher salary increases, technology enhancement, and critical faculty and staff professional development.
